Priest Holding Book
Former Parish Pastors

During the first sixty years of the parish, priests from Vincennes, IN; Ste. Marie; and Olney brought the sacraments to Stringtown.  From 1901 – 1977, the Parish was ministered by resident pastors.  From 1977 – 1997, due to the shortage of priests for the Diocese of Belleville, the parishes of St. Joseph Olney and St. Joseph Stringtown shared priests.  From 1997-2016, a change was made that the parishes of St. Joseph Stringtown and Holy Cross Wendelin would share priests.  From 2016-2019 the parish of St. Joseph Olney was added to the parishes of St. Joseph Stringtown and Holy Cross Wendelin to form the Tri-Parish Group and to share priests.  From 2019 to the present, the parish of St. Lawrence Lawrenceville was added to the parishes of St. Joseph Stringtown, Holy Cross Wendelin, and St. Joseph Olney to create the Quad-Parish Group and to share priests.
